Middle Office Analyst

As part of their continuous expansion, our client, a dynamic Investment Manager, is seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to join their growing Middle Office team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in reviewing daily fund activities, conducting shadow accounting, and fostering collaboration across various departments within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and track fund performance metrics, including returns and benchmark comparisons, to conduct thorough monthly valuations for diverse funds. Utilize advanced analytical tools to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Regularly analyse fund performance metrics, identifying anomalies and discrepancies to inform strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with investment teams to understand strategies and assess their impact on fund performance.
• Maintain meticulous oversight of fund holdings, reconciling positions and aligning them with investment objectives. Implement robust control measures to mitigate operational risks and safeguard fund assets.
• Coordinate with global teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of fund-related activities. Conduct regular reviews of performance and address issues proactively.
• Generate comprehensive reports summarizing fund performance, holdings, and transactional activity for distribution to investors and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field is essential.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Fund Accounting, with a solid grasp of NAV calculations and cash reconciliations.
• Preferential consideration for those experienced with complex alternative fund structures.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint; familiarity with Fund Accounting systems such as Geneva and Investran is advantageous.
• Demonstrated initiative, prioritization, and strong interpersonal skills.
