We are currently recruiting a Designated Person for Capital & Financial Management on behalf of a market leading Buyside Firm.

 The Role:

 Reporting into the CEO the candidate must have a high level of understanding of UCITS structures and the regulatory environment surrounding this product type.

Extensive knowledge of Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Transfer Agency and Risk Management functions is essential.

Previous experience in a vendor management or risk management role is preferable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Designated Person for Capital and Financial Management, a controlled function subject to pre-approval by the CBI.
  • Responsible for the capital adequacy and monitoring budgets, forecasting and all financial reporting
  • activity related to the Management Company.
  • Responsible for the management of all investment audits, including managing the relationships between
  • fund directors, auditors, administrators and the depositary.
  • Design and implement checklists and procedures for review of financial statements to ensure compliance
  • with regulations (AIFMD and UCITS) and accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP).
  • Update and review on a periodic basis key fund documents such as Risk Management Process, Business
  • Plan, Prospectus, Fund Policies and Service Level Agreements.
  • Prepare and monitoring annual expense budgets for Funds.
  • Monitor and test the capital adequacy of Management Companies and Funds on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare and present quarterly reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Adhoc tasks / projects as required

 Job Requirements:

  • 10 Years accounting or audit experience within Investment Management or Fund Services .
  • A third level degree and professional accounting qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • The ability to translate regulations and CBI guidance into practical procedures.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of UCITS and AIFMD is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
