Camden have been retained exclusively to source a Country Head on behalf of a leading investment management firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior executive to join a newly establish entity for a globally recognised investment management firm.

Reporting to the MD for UK, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing the strategy for Ireland & EU, working closely with global MD’s and Heads of Function to accomplish this.

A key responsibility of this position is ensuring the branch meets all regulatory requirements as set out buy the CBI along with developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the CBI and other regulators. You will also have full responsibility for management of the Dublin office.

 

The Role:

  • Act as a main point of contact to the CBI and ensuring all processes and procedures are met in terms of regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for monitoring and oversight of all risks associated with investment management across the Irish business.
  • Oversight of the distribution strategy including associate regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Management and attendance at board meetings of the Management Company.
  • Strategic and commercial advice to the business and respective boards of directors.
  • Proactively enhance and encourage strong working relationships and a strong culture, both in Dublin and with the wider global organisation.
  • You will drive communications with our client’s business units, external clients/prospects, and others as required.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Senior leadership experience working within the funds or investment management industry.
  • Proven success implementing a strategic business plan in line with current regulatory developments within the funds management industry.
  • Track record of building relationships with both internal and external counterparties.
  • Strong working knowledge of investment strategies across a variety asset classes and investment markets.
  • Excellent regulatory knowledge across UCITS and AIFM.
  • The appointment of the successful candidate is subject their approval as a PCF-1 & PCF 8.
